GRUNDOTUGGER INSTALLS PIPE WITHOUT DAMAGING GARDENS
The existing 10” Clayware Pipe which connects the lake in Jephson Gardens, Leamington Spa, to the River Leam for drainage purposes had become damaged due to excessive tree root infestation. Engineers at Warwick District Council decided after a meeting with local contractor Paul Seagrave of Mr Mole, that the existing 10” Clayware pipe would be slip lined. The slip lining operation was completed using one of TT UK‘s GRUNDOTUGGER units.
It took only 1.5 hours to complete the operation of replacing 160mm Demco pipe over a bore distance of 28 Metres, even though TT UK’s engineers had to stop and screw on a new section of PE Pipe every two metres. This was made more difficult as the engineers had to stand in the River Leam to connect each section of pipe. Paul Seagrave went on to say how productive the GRUNDOTUGGER proved to be and his client was pleased that the new pipe installation had been carried out without the need to damage the flora and fauna of the gardens.
