The Securitherm ‘Cool Touch’ TMV3 shower valve (H9741T) is the newest product development from Douglas Delabie, the specialist supplier of thermostatic control solutions and accessories for the commercial market and healthcare applications.

This new range of thermostatic shower mixers is independently tested and certified by BuildCert to the stringent NHS Model Engineering Specification D08/TMV3, and offers many safety and water efficiency benefits.

Bob Purdom, the company’s commercial director explains:

“The Securitouch offers a ‘cool touch’ operation and the cold supply is passed along an outer water channel before mixing with the incoming hot water supply.

In addition, the water supply inlets feature thermal insulation covers to ensure a ‘safe touch’ temperature.

The shower temperature is adjustable between 20 and 41°C and is factory set at 38°C.”

He says: “It’s ideal for most hospital and healthcare applications, care homes, sports and leisure centres, hotels and boarding houses and commercial buildings.”

Smooth operation and comfort is ensured by the easy-to-use control knobs, separate on/off and temperature control and progressive temperature adjustment, which re-opens at the last temperature setting.

With a three-year warranty against manufacturing defects, the Securitherm TMV3 shower valve enables the temperature to be adjusted from 20 to 41°C (maximum).

Automatic anti-scalding safety is ensured as the hot water supply shuts off in the event of cold water supply failure, while smooth internals reduce the possibility of bio-film development.

Water / energy savings

The controlled flow-rate system with integrated flow-rate limiter at 12 lpm enables around 40% water savings, and water wastage is prevented as users can select the most appropriate comfort temperature for their needs.
