Yorkshire Water's Richard Sears nominated as Northern Area President for the Institute of Water

Posted: Monday 25th January 2016

Richard Sears, Director of Communications at Bradford-headquartered Yorkshire Water, has been selected as the 2016 Northern Area President for the Institute of Water.

The Institute of Water, founded in 1945, is the only professional body that exclusively supports the careers of anyone working in the UK water sector.

Richard Sears, who has worked at Yorkshire Water for twenty years, will take over the role from the outgoing President, Simon Chadwick, who is the Waste Water Director at United Utilities.

Under the stewardship of Richard Sears, the theme for the Institute of Water’s influential programme of events this year will revolve around improving health, safety and wellbeing in the water sector.

The next event is scheduled for January 14th at Sheffield Water Centre and will include the Northern Area Innovation Award Finals. For more details, and to book your place, visit the Institute's website www.instituteofwater.org.
