Posted: Friday 6th March 2020

Yorkshire Water is hosting a day of workshops and talks from water companies, regulators and suppliers on how to make real improvements in Process Safety.

The Water Industry Process Safety Conference ‘Asset Life in the Water Industry’ will be taking place on the 10th March 2020 at Harrogate Convention Centre, just three weeks before the start of AMP 7.

The conference theme is Asset Life; with Assets generally consuming half the AMP budget, how the budget is spent is even more crucial to water industry performance.

Keynote speakers will discuss the trends and challenges of a maturing asset base. They will be offering their views on how the water industry might deal with these, with a focus on controls to stop things from going wrong, and assurance that the controls actually work.

Afternoon workshops, hosted by members of water industry organisations, will be focused around the Plant, People and Process themes are designed to explore in total 12 aspects of Process Safety Management in more detail.

Yorkshire Water Head of Safety, Paul Heierman-Rix, said: “We are extremely excited about hosting a conference which we believe will make a real difference to how the industry looks a process safety.

“The conference schedule is designed to maximise collaboration, bringing together all water companies from the UK and Ireland, contracting partners, Regulators, suppliers and others involved in the water industry.” Normal 0 false false false EN-US X-NONE X-NONE
