West Coast Network Services create jobs as they secure United Utilities contract

Posted: Wednesday 19th May 2010

West Coast Network Services, part of the West Coast Energy Group of companies, has secured a new contract for United Utilities. The contract award is likely to involve the creation of employment opportunities with the company in the North West and will involve work throughout the Greater Manchester area, Lancashire and Cumbria.

This positive move comes as a result of other major contracts recently won by the company, including a new five-year contract for Central Networks (part of E.ON), the electricity distribution company for Central England. This is coupled with West Coast Network Services’ own expansion which saw further jobs created in Staffordshire and the East Midlands.

Karl Lee, West Coast Network Services Managing Director comments: “This is an exciting period for the company as we are experiencing a period of unprecedented growth . The United Utilities contract win is a testament to how hard our team has worked over the past few months in difficult market conditions”.

I am absolutely delighted about the outcome of this particular tender as this contract award is the culmination of a rigorous and exacting tender process. It is encouraging to see that our focus on quality and high customer service has borne fruit in this instance.

“I’m particularly pleased that during these times of austerity this contract award should allow us to offer full time employment across a range of disciplines from arboricultural and electrical staff to managerial and administrative positions”.

Established in 2004 West Coast Network Services has experienced rapid organic growth over the intervening years and is now considered one of the most successful and innovative service providers in this sector. Specialising in Arboricultural and Electrical overhead line support, the company has the ability to provide a turnkey approach to contact delivery. West Coast provide cost effective solutions through an experienced management team, robust operating systems and committed technical support staff.
