Veolia Water Solutions & Technologies UK appoints a new CEO
Veolia Water Solutions & Technologies (VWS), the global market leader in technologies for water and wastewater treatment is pleased to announce the appointment of Dr Ian Stewart as CEO for the company’s operations in the UK, Germany, Austria and Switzerland. Ian has been Managing Director of VWS in the German speaking countries since 2004 and takes over from Roger Mudd who becomes Chairman. The companies under Ian’s responsibility employ around 1,000 people and have a joint turnover in excess of £150 million.
Part of the operations in the UK are Marlow based ELGA Process Water, the industrial, life sciences and healthcare water specialists, headed by its Managing Director Martyn Fisher, and for Veolia Water Solutions & Technologies who provide treatment for municipal water supply, sewage and industrial wastewater from their Birmingham and Stoke-on-Trent operations, by Ole Roesdahl, Managing Director.
In Germany, Ian was responsible for integrating newly acquired companies, ELGA Berkefeld and Kruger WABAG into the VWS group. Prior to joining Veolia he worked in the automotive industry in various countries. In his new role he will be working closely with Martyn Fisher and Ole Roesdahl to promote and further develop the whole range of technologies and services for industrial and municipal customers in the UK.
