U Mole continues country-wide expansion

U Mole (a division of Vp plc, operating under the Groundforce banner) is pleased to announce the expansion of its country-wide client service capacity with the appointment of three new regional sales personnel and the opening of its newest sales and service depot in Wigan, Lancashire.

In order to offer an improved client service, U Mole recently appointed two new regional sales managers and a regional salesman. James McMahon has been appointed to cover the North and Northwest area of England and will be based in the northwest area, out of the newly established Wigan depot, which came on line in March 2009. The Wigan site offers service, storage and workshop facilities that will enhance speedy customer service and equipment repair as well as equipment maintenance.
Mark Aspinal, the most recent appointee starts as sales manager for the East and South East regions, and Ian Holt has been appointed as salesman for the Midland and Southwest area.
As well as offering full equipment sales and hire services, U Mole provides extensive equipment back-up, product and site support, spares servicing and complete operator training on all of its product lines. Training is offered either on site, at the client’s offices or at U Mole premises as required utilising experienced and OEM qualified trainers.
U Mole staff members are also able to provide advice on product suitability for projects as well as potential alternatives should any suitable product be available.
The company is also about to appoint a new and fully mobile fitter for the Northwest region to enable maintenance servicing and repair works to completed ‘on site’ wherever possible reducing client downtime and off-site transportation requirements.
Commenting on the latest service expansion moves Frank Gowdy, Sales Director for U Mole said: “We have always been driven by and strive to be able to provide for all the needs of our clientele. The increasing workload we have experienced over the past two years, both in our more traditional product areas such as moles, bursters and coiled pipe trailers and the more recent vacuum excavation and keyhole systems, led us to look at expanding our sales and support team as well as providing more local service offices. This we have now achieved with these new appointments and the opening of our Wigan office. As and when necessary other regional depots could be established if local client numbers warrant such a further expansion. We are confident that the new team will enhance not only our traditional service and back-up capability but also further expand our market share.”

U Mole is the approved UK distributor for Earth Tool equipment and offers the company’s full range of products for trenchless installation and pipeline replacement for either sale or hire.
