Thomas Telford Training to become “ICE Training”

Posted: Friday 21st November 2014

The Institution of Civil Engineers (ICE) has rebranded its current training operation, Thomas Telford Training, in order to better express the values at the heart of the Institution’s training offering.

“ICE Training” will deliver first class professional training for all civil engineers, project managers and construction professionals. Its programmes, developed and delivered by chartered engineers and industry experts, cover a wide range of topics aligned with industry requirements and government initiatives - including ICE Professional Review preparation, BIM, Eurocodes, health and safety and temporary works. They are available in a range of training formats such as eLearning packages.

The rebrand follows consultation with ICE members and customers. In 2010, Thomas Telford Publishing, ICE’s publishing arm, similarly rebranded to ICE Publishing to better align with the Institution.

ICE Director General, Nick Baveystock, said: “I am proud to introduce ICE Training as a true representation of the knowledge and dedication to excellence that is reflected in the practices of ICE.

“We are a profession that strives for excellence; constantly sharing knowledge and learning so we can improve - giving society the civil engineering solutions it needs and delivering for our employers and clients. The training we receive is central to this lifelong learning.

“Whether you are aspiring to membership with ICE, interested in technical expertise or geared towards programme management or project oversight, ICE Training seeks to offer modern, relevant programmes, aligning with current industry standards and delivered by carefully selected experts.”
