The UK’s leading designer and manufacturer of rainwater harvesting systems has commissioned its first contract in Northern Ireland.
Stormsaver has been contracted to supply a 19,200 litre, above-ground, rainwater harvesting system at Bombardier’s new wing-manufacturing and assembly facility in Belfast, which will be used primarily for the production of composite wings for Bombardier’s new CSeries aircraft.
The system is predicted to collect 10,000 m3 of rainwater via the facility’s 14,794 m2 roof area and will be used in the flushing of 21 toilets. The system is expected to be 91% efficient, which should result in a significant reduction in mains water supply as well as potential cost savings of more than £1,000 per annum.
Stormsaver was contracted by mechanical and electrical contractor, Rotary Services Limited.
