Senior research appointment emphasises Atkins’ dedication to water innovation

Atkins has appointed Dr Arthur Thornton as research and innovation manager facing the UK water industry market, underlining the consultancy’s commitment to innovation and leading developments in water sector research.
Atkins has a wealth of experience in leading R&D for water companies, UKWIR, the Environment Agency and Government departments as well as a research partnership with Cranfield University and Severn Trent Water. Dr Thornton has been successfully managing research projects within the water sector for more than 15 years.
He will focus in particular on positioning Atkins’ water sector service offering for the future and strengthening research relationships with a range of water industry clients to understand and adapt to the challenges of tomorrow.
