The newly established company Civils Store Ltd acquired the former Burdens branches at Redruth, Sittingbourne and Penrith and, are now up and running and eager to meet local needs.

The Civils Store team has a wealth of experience of the specialist nature of the civil’s sector. With an understanding of the changing nature of the products and services that are required the new company will fill a gap in the market for providing this level of specialism and expertise.

The acquisition protects local jobs in the three regions and provides on-going employment opportunities. More importantly for suppliers and customers, Civils Store’s on-going strategy is to be the local first choice for collections and deliveries and to become the leading specialist supplier of civil engineering materials in its areas of operation.

“The new business is investing in people, the industry and local communities” commented managing director Kevin Hancock. “Businesses are built on people and the knowledge and expertise of the Civils Store team will form the building blocks of our organisation. I want us to create a company that is a great place to work and provides our customers with a tremendous service.”
