Rainwater harvesting partnership

Stormsaver has announced that the BSS is the company’s latest distributor.
The new partnership will mean that for the first time Stormsaver systems can be purchased through a leading nationwide distributor.
BSS customers will benefit from simplified purchasing, utilising their existing BSS credit accounts with the same level of hands-on support given to those who purchase from Stormsaver direct.
BSS Industrial operates via a national network of almost 60 branches and through a number of specialist brands. This set up enables BSS Industrial to service a wide range of sectors – including many of the UK’s leading H&V contractors. By working closely with its suppliers, BSS is capable of developing bespoke offerings for each of its customers – including quality products, specifications and technical support.
Malcolm Goode Branch Manager at BSS Nottingham says: “We’re really pleased to be partnered with Stormsaver. They’ve built up a great reputation for providing high quality rainwater harvesting solutions at affordable prices. We know that our clients will benefit from being able to source bespoke rainwater harvesting systems from an established and well respected brand.”
Stormsaver Director Michael Farnsworth says: “BSS has a long tradition of supplying some of the biggest names in the construction industry. BSS seemed the natural choice to supply the Stormsaver water recycling system as the leading distributor to specialist trades. The Stormsaver rainwater recycling system is not an off the shelf product and therefore we needed to work with a company that has the expertise and professionalism required to advise clients of what is involved in the specification and installation of a rainwater harvesting system. BSS more than fulfilled these requirements.”
One of the first companies to purchase the Stormsaver system through BSS was T. Jolly Services Ltd. for St.Annes-on-Sea PCT in Blackpool Lancashire.
St.Annes-on-Sea PCT features a 25000L storage tank and is estimated to collect over 1800m3 of water per year. The filtered rainwater will be used for toilet and urinal flushing within the primary care trust centre and aims to meet targets set by the trust to reduce its water consumption. It is estimated that the harvested rainwater will have an efficiency of around 64% in terms of its saving over the use of conventional mains water. By using the Stormsaver system the rainwater that would normally have gone to drain, will be filtered and re-used within the building, providing a green approach to minimising water use.
