Pump Supplies, which owns and operates the largest hire fleet of electric submersible pumps and accessories in the UK, has expanded its operation in the South West of England with the opening of a new depot.

Pump Supplies has purchased a 5,500 square foot unit on the Walker Lines Industrial Estate within Bodmin, Cornwall, which is three times the size of the company’s previous depot in the vicinity. The new premises and stock yard cover over 0.8 acres in total which represents a £0.75 million investment for the company.

Bob Maskell, Pump Supplies’ manager for the South West, comments: “Our new facilities offer us far greater capacity than our previous unit to stock our vast range and selection of pumps and technical equipment. The new location also includes dedicated areas for technical and mechanical engineering, the stock yard and parts department, as well as brand new offices.”

As a leading provider of Flygt pumps, Pump Supplies offers a robust and reliable solution for temporary applications or emergencies and has the fleet range to place pumps or complete pumping systems on hire at short notice. Contracts range from emergency or planned maintenance, flow diversion and sewer overpumping, to failed unit replacement or storm/nuisance water transfer, working for a range of water utility companies and civil contractors.

Pump Supplies holds in excess of 2,000 units which it shares across its depots, meaning that the company can make swift decisions and provide technical support and resources quickly to any site in the UK or Ireland.
