PUMP SUPPLIES APPOINTS NEW MANAGING DIRECTOR

Pump Supplies, the owner and operator of the largest hire fleet of electric submersible pumps and accessories in the UK, has appointed experienced operations manager Simon Wright as Managing Director.

Simon, who will work closely with company Directors Andrew John and Barry Jones, has been employed in the construction and utilities sector for almost 25 years. He joins from Imtech where he spent the last three years in a senior operations manager role on a range of potable water and sewerage projects. Most recently he had responsibility for the mechanical, electrical and process design on United Utilities’ flagship AMP 6 project, the £170 million Davyhulme wastewater treatment works upgrade.

Prior to that he ran his own national utilities infrastructure business and was a Senior Project Manager at Bovis Lend Lease, where he helped to deliver the £340m construction of St David’s 2 Shopping Centre in Cardiff. Simon is a Chartered Civil Engineer and will be based at Pump Supplies’ head office in Port Talbot.
