Pump Industry Awards Announced

Posted: Wednesday 9th September 2015

The British Pump Manufacturers Association is delighted to announce the dates for the 2016 Pump Industry Awards.

Scheduled to take place on Thursday 10th March 2016, at the Crowne Plaza Hotel, Heythrop Park, Oxfordshire, the Gala Awards Dinner will once again bring together the entire pump industry for a celebration of business and professional excellence. Recognising and rewarding the achievements of both individuals and companies operating within this important industry sector has been the remit of this awards programme since its launch over 15 years ago, and next year’s ceremony will be no exception. Personal endeavour, technical innovation, engineering advancement and commercial acumen will all be acknowledged and celebrated.

The dedicated awards website will shortly be updated to reflect the transition from a review of this year’s event to the development of the 2016 programme. Offering detailed information about the awards programme and practical advice on how to put forward an entry, the site will continue to provide superb brand promotion and exposure for all those wishing to associate themselves with ‘excellence’.

Sponsors, Finalists and the eventual winners will all be featured on this dedicated website, which will be the focal point for the initial ‘Call for Nominations’, the subsequent promotion of ‘Finalists’ and the all-important ‘Online Voting’ process.

It will also facilitate table bookings for the prestigious Gala Awards Ceremony, and of course be the primary source of promotion for the individual category winners.

New Venue

Having been staged in Kenilworth, Warwickshire for the past two years, the 2016 Gala Awards Ceremony will switch to the other side of the M40 and be held in the glorious surroundings of Heythrop Park at the fabulous Crowne Plaza Hotel. With its superb banqueting suite and inter-connected bar area, this new venue allows for a number of key developments in the overall awards presentation.

Additionally, with a greater number of bedrooms available, more guests will be able to stay ‘on-site’, increasing the opportunity for post awards entertainment and ‘networking’.

Sponsors

A full complement of Sponsors has again been secured for this important industry event, with each one contributing to the overall success of the Awards Programme and Gala Dinner. They include John Crane, WEG Electric Motors, World Pumps, SPP Pumps, AESSEAL, Process Industry Informer, KSB, ABB and Tomlinson Hall.

Nominations

Entries are sought for any company, product, application or individual within the pump industry that is worthy of recognition and reward. Nominations and entries are not restricted to BPMA membership, and you can put forward entries for yourself and your own company, or you can nominate others that you know of or work with. The online entry process couldn’t be easier, so if you want to play your part in bringing engineering excellence to the fore, please do visit the PIA website - http://pumpindustryawards.com.

The 'Call for Nominations’ will commence in mid-September, with the ‘Online Entry’ Forms being available for completion from Thursday 1st October, allowing you to put forward an entry for any of the eight award categories.

The closing date for all entries is 5.00pm on Tuesday 1st December, providing a two month window in which to submit your entry. So if you want industry-wide recognition for a job well done, be it for technical innovation or application know-how, for environmental consideration or distribution and supply, please make a note of these key dates.

It is completely free of charge to enter the awards, but the promotional value associated with being selected as a finalist is worth many hundreds of pounds. And should you become one of the eight winners, the promotional benefit is surely even greater.
