MORGAN SINDALL AWARDED SOUTH EAST WATER CONTRACT

Posted: Wednesday 6th October 2010

Morgan Sindall, one of the UK’s leading construction and infrastructure specialists, has been awarded a £465,000 contract to install and commission a 3.2 kilometre section of new water main for South East Water.

Work will take place in the Crawley Down/Furnace Wood area of West Sussex and will involve using a combination of open-cut and directional drilling techniques, which when complete will ensure local residents have a reliable supply of water.

The contract win is in addition to the work which Morgan Sindall has been carrying out over the last three years as part of South East Water’s AMP4 Period Maintenance Contract.

Andrew Crowder, managing director for Utility Services at Morgan Sindall, said: “Securing this additional work through one of our existing customers further cements the relationship and provides a sound footing to develop our business further with this key customer.”

Work will start in August and will be completed in December this year.
