Morgan Est appoints Iain Sutherland as water director

Leading infrastructure services company Morgan Est has appointed Iain Sutherland as water director of the infrastructure division. He brings 10 years of management experience to his new post, specifically in civil engineering, as well as managing and leading large framework contracts.

Based at Morgan Est’s head offices in Rugby, he will have direct responsibility for leading the company’s civil engineering and process related activity in the water sector including existing contracts with Severn Trent Water, Welsh Water, Thames Water, Yorkshire Water and Scottish Water. Iain’s new role will also include helping to develop the company’s future strategy for the sector, particularly the next round of water frameworks, which are currently under procurement.

“I am delighted to be taking up this new role within our infrastructure business, “says Iain Sutherland. “The UK water sector is healthy at the moment with work ranging from metering and mains laying projects, to tunnelling and water treatment works upgrades. My priorities will be to ensure we have the strategies in place to continue to serve our water customers and improve and develop our services to them.”
