Micro Drainage Workshop: New Developments and Flood Risk
Micro Drainage are to hold a series of workshops throughout the first half of 2007 entitled ‘New Developments and Flood Risk’. Many top consultants use these training sessions and workshops to help their engineers gain valuable CPD (Continuing Professional Development).
The three morning workshops are to be held between 24 and 26 April 2007 in three separate locations around the UK. On the 24 April the workshop will be held in the Dunblane Hydro Hotel in Perthshire, moving onto the Thistle Haydock in Merseyside on the 25 April and finishing at the Aztek Hotel near Bristol on the 26 April.
The workshop will start with an Overview of current legislation and drainage specifications. This will cover the drainage implications of the latest PPS25 Planning issues as well as Sewers for Adoption 6th edition. What’s New in W.10.4 will highlight a range of additional software features that will help engineers/developers to comply with the latest legislation.
3D Development, Exceedance and FloodFlow is also on the agenda, with a graphical design approach to identify PPS25 flood zones andprovide overland depth/velocity risk assessment. The morning will finish with a look at Pluvius and Continuous Analysis - Flood risk validation using Met Office rainfall records and continuous analysis.
