MeiStream Series Wins MID Approval

MeiStream and MeiStream Plus - the revolutionary bulk water meters from Sensus - have achieved Europe-wide MID accreditation for meter performance that sets the standard for flow-rate range, measurement and accuracy.
The MeiStream Series is the first turbine meter to receive MID certification and in its basic version combines the performance values of the standard Sensus turbine meter family. The high-accuracy MeiStream Plus features improved accuracy at very low flow rates.
At the heart of this innovative range is a free floating ball-shaped turbine. It is this technology that gives MeiStream meters their wide flow capability and which will enables water companies and utilities to minimise unmeasured supply, to improve monitoring and leakage detection and to deliver both Class B (with
MeiStream) and Class C (MeiStream Plus) accuracy in bulk meter applications.
Among the latest innovations is the insertion of a flow straightener inside the MeiStream, which enhances cost-efficiency by reducing the required installation space to an absolute minimum.
MeiStream also comes fully AMR (Automatic Meter Reading) ready for integration into remote reading schemes, such Sensus((S))cout. The MeiStream meter series is available in the range DN 40 - DN 150 in ISO and DIN lengths and at PN16 or PN40 pressure levels.
