MCL AND WAVENEYS DEVELOP NEW PLUG-AND-PLAY CHLORINATION KIOSK

Posted: Tuesday 12th August 2014

MCL, the Staffordshire-based manufacturer of GRP kiosks and access chamber systems, has developed a new design of kiosk in response to a brief from partner engineering firm Waveneys, to house the assembly of a plug and play chlorination system.

Already being installed for client Anglian Water, the critical difference in the new kiosk is the fact that it is entirely factory-built rather than on-site, meaning it can be delivered to the client and fully operational within hours rather than months.

Previously, water companies would need a team of contractors to build a brick structure on location, then their suppliers such as Waveneys would need to come to site to install treatment and dosing equipment. The total downtime involved, from concrete base to completion, could be months.
