MCERTS and the Chocolate Factory

Posted: Wednesday 10th January 2007

As part of the Environment Agency's MCERTS scheme, RS Hydro have won a tender to install certified flow monitoring equipment at a famous chocolate factory in the UK. The installation involved the use of Siemens OCM III and HydroRanger 200, in conjunction with chlorine sensors and renewable power sources.

Under the MCERTS scheme, flow monitoring systems must be measured to an agreed accuracy of +/-8% and must be inspected routinely. However, many companies do not have any form of flow measurement and those that do probably do not meet the agreed standards of installation. As such, the Environment Agency and companies like RS Hydro are able to help companies provide accurate discharge flow measurement.

If you have any enquiries or upcoming projects connected to MCERTS, you can call RS Hydro on +44 (0) 1905 774002, and an experienced field engineer will be available to help.
