JLJ Group wins export order for a Waste Water Treatment Plant from D.S.Smith Packaging Group in Poland

The Effluent Engineering division of the Warrington based JLJ Group last week completed the manufacture of one of their well proven JLJ-Alar Flex-O-Star Euro packaged waste water treatment plants for the D.S Smith Polska S.A packaging factories at Kielce, Poland.
The order was obtained against stiff opposition from other European manufacturers but with JLJ’s vast experience in the packaging industry and with the number of successful waste water treatment plants already installed within the D.S Smith Group they were awarded the contract. The Flex-O-Star Euro 360 treatment plant was built to a bespoke design built to suit the factory in Poland and is a fully packaged skid mounted unit with auxiliary pumping skid and two separate process tanks, all designed for delivery by normal road transport direct to Kielce in Poland.
All the starch and flexographic ink wash- down waste waters from the factories production of cardboard boxes will be processed together by the JLJ plant, which has the ability to treat the waste streams individually if necessary giving crystal clear filtrate water and semi dry solids.
Following completion of manufacture in JLJ’s Warrington factory, the whole plant was pre-assembled and laid out as it will be positioned on site and all the inter-connection of piping and wiring was carried out to the ancillary equipment. The whole system was then fully tested in JLJ's works during which senior personnel of D.S Smith Polska S.A. from Poland visited the UK to inspect the finished plant and witness the testing before it was disassembled ready for transportation to Poland.
Once delivered to their factory at Kielce in Poland, this makes for easy and quick installation, which when finished the JLJ engineer will attend site to commission the plant and put into operation the whole waste water treatment system.
As this was a very important Eastern European export order for the JLJ Group, the visitors from Poland were also met by Mr Steven Broomhead, Chief Executive of the Northwest Regional Development Agency who inspected the quality of the JLJ waste water treatment plant and gave them details of assistance that was available to overseas Companies (see attached photograph) from the NWDA.
