ITTWater & Wastewater awarded Yorkshire Water £1.5million pump maintenance contract

Posted: Thursday 14th October 2010

ITT Water & Wastewater has secured a £1.5 million direct maintenance contract with Yorkshire Water for the first time in almost two decades, thanks to its ability to provide a complete service.

The 12 month initial contract with a potential five year extension, covers all pump maintenance including product replacement and, for the first time, pump repair and rental. For the past 15 years Yorkshire Water has outsourced all maintenance to a third party. In a move to achieve greater efficiency savings and exert more control over activity and spend, Yorkshire Water has set up the pump repair framework to deal directly with suppliers, such as ITT.

ITT WWW’sfield sales engineer,Mark Collinson, said: “This is a significant result for us and a great achievement for the team. It further establishes ITT WWW as a total solutions provider rather than just solely a pump supplier. With ITT Water & Wastewater’s total capabilities we can offer customers efficiency and cost savings combined with a reliable, high quality service.”

Neil Ratcliffe of Yorkshire Water, said: "Yorkshire Water has awarded ITT Water & Wastewater Ltd the contract for the repair and maintenance of its Flygt pumps for shining star, critical and large pump sites within the region".
