INNOVATION SOFTWARE LAUNCHED

Posted: Wednesday 12th December 2018

The IT services and software development company, Bridgeall, which delivered the water industry’s central Settlement System for the £2.5BN competitive retail market in England and the UK’s most accurate billing system trevi, has launched a new software platform to enable water companies to drive business change through innovation.

With growing recognition amongst utility companies that continuous innovation is critical to maintain competitiveness and support growth, Bridgeall has launched smartcrowds®, enabling organisations to access intelligence from throughout the business and beyond, by crowdsourcing and sharing ideas, validating and implementing those ideas and then evaluating the results.

Dave Kerr, Bridgeall’s Chief Technical Officer, said, “With Ofwat actively seeking evidence of innovation within business plans, utility companies need fast, cost effective and reliable tools to make this happen.

“With extensive experience of working closely with water companies, we understand the challenges they face in an increasingly competitive landscape. We have drawn on over 15 years of sector experience to develop a ground-breaking and unique solution to enable utilities to harness innovation.

“Research shows that three out of five companies fail to implement their best ideas, which stifles business progress, and 70% of innovating organisations waste time and money by repeating the same mistakes over and over again. By providing a social, user-friendly software platform, smartcrowds helps organisations engage with staff, customers and other stakeholders, develop and assess the ideas that are generated and then manage the change process to drive lasting improvements.” Normal 0 false false false EN-GB X-NONE X-NONE
