Innovation – Learning from Other Sectors

WRc to hold their 2nd Innovation Day – 24th April 2013.

The event will build on last year’s success and will bring together representatives of water and wastewater companies, regulators, experts, technologists and innovators to debate the questions that the sector needs to answer. The themes for 2013 are “Successful Innovation In Other Sectors” and Innovative Approaches to Engage with Customers" There will be presentations, focussed workshops, and a showcase of successful innovations from the supply chain and WRc’s collaborative projects. There will also be updates on the initiatives and actions that WRc has been leading since the April 2012 event.

The attendees will:

Mark Smith, Managing Director at WRc comments “We look forward to meeting again with everyone that made the 2012 Innovation Day such a success. Since we last got together, innovation has taken an even higher profile in the sector and our challenge now is to ensure that the technical skills-sets that exist are used to develop innovative solutions. We have themed the 2013 event as “Learning from Other Sectors” and WRc are aiming to engage with experts from outside the water sector so we can be more innovative in our thinking”.

The event will be attended by up to 150 delegates from utility companies, government, suppliers, technology experts and universities. The event is free to attend and will aim to demonstrate how an open approach to innovation can benefit all stakeholders.
