HESCO, the world-renowned manufacturer of protective barriers, has made two senior appointments to bolster its sales and business development teams.
Rob Haslam and Bobby Hamilton join HESCO as part of a strategy aimed at increasing international sales to the fast growing civil security and environmental markets.
HESCO is a leader in the design and manufacture of rapidly deployable barrier systems which are used for the purposes of military, critical asset and flood protection.
Rob Haslam joins HESCO as Director of Business Development as part of the international sales team.
He will focus on leading the marketing strategy for HESCO in existing and new market sectors – particularly the civil security and environmental markets.
Rob brings with him over 20 years’ experience working in the government security field, including security projects in Europe and North America and programmes in post-conflict and developing countries such as Africa and Latin America.
Previous to this Rob also worked for public safety telecoms operators 02 Airwave, US biometrics company L-1 Identity Solutions and banknote printer and identity solutions specialist De La Rue, where he worked for 16 years.
Bobby Hamilton has been appointed the new Regional Manager Europe and will focus on growing sales of HESCO’s Concertainer® units in these countries.
He joins from Boeing where he was the Strategic Account Executive for their accounts in Western Europe and Asia.
As part of this role he focused on building relationships with senior governmental defence figures, protecting revenue streams and ensuring Boeing was regarded as a key partner and military force multiplier.
Prior to Boeing Bobby was a helicopter pilot in Royal Air Force for 6 years and also worked in the UK’s Ministry of Defence procurement department.
Leo Clifford, Managing Director, HESCO, said:
“Both Bobby and Rob bring a significant amount of business and sales experience to our international sales team and we are extremely pleased to bring them on board at this important time of change for HESCO. The civil security and environmental markets are forming an increasingly important part of our business and they will focus on growing our international sales in these areas.”
