H2O Support Services joins the Achilles community as it achieves UVDB Verify accreditation

Posted: Friday 14th May 2010

Specialist provider of sewer and drainage maintenance and rehabilitation services, H2O Support Services (an i3 Group company), has achieved UVDB Verify accreditation, the highest quality and safety status for its on site services and procedures.

The UVDB accreditation is used by many utility companies and their contracting partners to qualify their supply chain so is a must have for H2O Support Services in this competitive market place. Commenting on the achievement John Bookless, managing director of H2O Support Services, said: “This accreditation is important to the work we do, as we undertake projects with high operational risk when maintaining and repairing pipelines. It is common practice for our clients to demand to see our safety, health, environment and quality credentials.

“We are fully committed to ensuring all standards and practices within the company are established and maintained to the highest level possible so this accreditation is testament to the hard work and determination of our team.”

As a relatively new player in the market, H2O Support Services is keen to establish credibility and has undertaken a quality programme to ensure it meets the highest standards. At the start of the year, the company achieved both ISO9001 and ISO14001 accreditations for its quality management and environmental management systems.

Bookless continues: “The assessment gives us credibility in the market place and provides valuable insight into ways in which we can improve our offering further. I was particularly delighted with our health & safety scores, which are amongst the best in the market.”

H2O Support Services was launched in May last year when the i3 Group acquired Cyclops Environmental Services Ltd. Since then the firm has developed an advanced sewer and drainage rehabilitation service portfolio to help companies that own pipelines, such as utility and water companies, to reduce operational costs by using techniques such as CCTV surveys and advanced UV relining techniques to maintain their pipelines instead of more traditional methods.
