Future Water Association Makes New Appointment to Board

Posted: Friday 2nd September 2016

The Future Water Association is set to become the business support organisation for the water sector. The not-for-profit membership organisation is primarily run by a board of trustees all of whom are leading industry experts with years of experience within the sector. They all have a passion and a huge sense of commitment to support both the water companies and the supply chain in today's ever challenging environment.

The Future Water Association has announced the appointment of Virginie Vinel to its board. Virginie is Co-founder and Marketing Director of Agily, the award winning team goal management app (www.agily.io).

Agily is a relatively new member of the organisation, but has already reaped the benefits by winning the Highly Commended Prize in Future Water Association's Water Innovation Dragons competition held at Utility Week Live in May 2016. This acknowledgement by the water sector has helped the start-up business in many ways, including helping them to develop a strong network from within the water utilities and also SMEs from the value chain.

Virginie explains her decision to join the board: "I am very excited to share my 23-year international experience of innovation commercialisation and marketing strategy with the Future Water Association members and its board. Inspiring women and millennials to take an active part in the water sector motivated my decision to join the board. They represent a huge potential to boost business competitiveness and to address some of the sector challenges."

Paul Horton, CEO of Future Water added "2016 is set be a milestone year for the Future Water Association and the appointment of Virginie to the board will only strengthen our position to become to the go-to place for business support within the water sector. Virginie's expertise will add to our existing portfolio of skills and be a real benefit for our membership."
