Earth Tech expands into Eastern Europe
YORKSHIRE based Earth Tech Engineering has promoted Nicola Henderson to Business Development Manager for Europe.
Henderson has worked at Earth Tech since 1996 and has acted as a Senior Process Engineer and more recently Commissioning Manager. Previous to this, she gained a degree in Chemical and Bio-Process Engineering at Bath University and worked for 5 years at Biwater Treatment in Lancashire.
Henderson's new role means she will be responsible for growing Earth Tech's business base in Europe. She said:
"We're looking to extend our business in the municipal and industrial water sector in Europe. At the moment, we're concentrating on Hungary and Romania and recently recruited a local Business Development Manager in Romania, but we will be targeting other countries in the near future. We're confident there will be further scope for expansion in the new accession countries which will have to comply with EU directives. It's a very exciting time for Earth Tech.
"We are building on our excellent track record of winning international projects. In 2005, we completed the construction of a new waste water treatment plant at an oil refinery in Hungary and we will be operating it for the next 15 years. We have a fantastic network of expertise to tap into in Earth Tech offices across Europe including the Czech Republic, Turkey and Hungary."
Representatives from Earth Tech will be joining the British Water Trade Mission in March on a visit to Romania. They will meet officials from water companies operating in Bucharest and Cluj, in the Transylvanian region of Romania, as well as municipal officials and Romanian companies interested in working with UK companies.
