DURAPIPE UK EXPANDS INDUSTRIAL BUSINESS

Posted: Wednesday 19th September 2012

Durapipe UK has created a new industrial sales team to cater for an increase in demand for its plastic pipework systems in industrial sectors including water treatment, process and manufacturing.

After securing a number of new industrial customers, in addition to experiencing a significant rise in industrial enquiries over the last six months, Durapipe UK has formed the new team to cater for the increase in business. The company is also targeting continued growth in the industrial sector and needs a team in place to help achieve this and take the Durapipe name into new markets.

The new five-strong team will be led by Jane Smith, who, as a regional sales manager for the Midlands, has worked for Durapipe for seven years, so brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to the role. Four regional sales managers will then have responsibility for different areas of the UK; Gareth Sharples and Graham Bardell are new to Durapipe, having both worked in the industry for over 15 years and will look after the North / Scotland and South Midlands / East Anglia respectively.

Moving from Astore UK, another Aliaxis group company, Richard Whittington and Richard Wiggin conclude the new team and will look after the South and Midlands regions respectively.

The new team will be tasked with developing existing relationships with installers, contractors, and distributors in addition to identifying new opportunities and growth areas for Durapipe’s portfolio of specialist plastic pipework systems.

Commenting on the new team, Mitchell Holmes, marketing manager for Durapipe said: “Our industrial division is going from strength to strength and has experienced fantastic growth over the last six months and we are looking to continue this. We have also identified opportunities for expansion into new industrial markets and so have put a team in place that can grow our industrial business within existing and new market sectors.

The new team has a wealth of experience in the industrial sector and we are confident they can help us achieve our ambitious expansion plans.”

The Durapipe industrial portfolio comprises a complete range of pipework solutions, along with fittings, valves and flow control solutions to cater for a variety of applications across water treatment, process and manufacturing sectors.
