Posted: Thursday 25th September 2014

CSG, one of the UK's leading suppliers of quality civil engineering products has announced ambitious expansion plans and a move into larger premises for its Pipes & Fittings Division in Derbyshire, following a period of significant growth due to greater collaboration with Viking Johnson.

CSG Pipes & Fittings has served the Water and Waste Water industries for over ten years and has become renowned for supplying contractors with first class products. During this time, at least 30 percent of CSG's Pipes and Fittings business has been attributed to Viking Johnson. This has now increased further as CSG continues to expand its product range to include more traditional product lines and new technologies alike.

Viking Johnson has always been one of CSG's best selling lines, with products such as MaxiDaptors, MaxiFits, AquaGrips and UltraGrips in constant demand and which historically has been the mainstay of essential pipe engineering solutions for CSG's customers.

CSG Pipes & Fittings, Business Development Manager, Tom Marriott commented:

"For many years we have offered the Viking Johnson range as an integral part of our complete pipework solution package. The design benefits of flexibility, long life expectancy, exceptional sealing capabilities, wide availability of sizes, simple installation, excellent damage protection and ability to accommodate pipeline movement due to ground settlement, has made this a constant ‘hero' product line for our customers across a wide variety of applications.

In addition, we have also recently added the new enhancedAquaFast technology, which has already been specified on multiple frameworks throughout the UK. Providing almost effortless installation, we forecast that this will become another staple product in our portfolio."

The new AquaFast technology is suitable for use in both clean and dirty water. It is supplied as standard with a highly durable WRAS approved rubber gasket for use in potable water systems, however it is also ideal for small diameter pumped sewerage pipelines.

The enhanced AquaFast design incorporates a unique 3-way pressure sealing system offering a simple reliable solution for connections and the enhanced gripping mechanism offers end load restraint, helping to prevent pipe pull out. In addition, the fittings come fully assembled, can be installed in all weather conditions and now have the ability to be installed on oval or coiled pipe.

CSG also serves the Power, Fire Protection, Oil and Gas industries. Stocks include a wide spectrum of pipes and fittings from 80mm to 1000mm, as well as the facility to fabricate bespoke lengths. This is complemented with a large selection of coatings for specific purposes; suitable for both clean and dirty water applications.

All products are certified and compliant with latest BS:EN international standards.
