CH2M HILL announce Gareth Heatley as the new European Managing Director for Water

CH2M HILL is pleased to announce the appointment of Gareth Heatley to the position of Managing Director for Water, Europe.

In his new role, Gareth will lead the company's water market on some of the most significant programmes within the European region; including the Thames Tideway Tunnel project and a diverse flood risk management and water portfolio. He will work directly with clients such as the Environment Agency, water utilities and local authorities across the diverse range of services provided by CH2M HILL's water market.

Gareth brings to the role almost 25 years of experience in the water sector; starting his career as a River and Coastal Engineer in 1990 before moving to Halcrow in 1995 as a Project Engineer. Gareth has a wide understanding of the challenges facing the water industry. During his career he has gained vast experience in this field and taken lead roles in flood management programmes; overseeing projects in the East of England and heading up the regional offices in Peterborough.

Prior to assuming his position as Managing Director for Water in Europe, Gareth was Senior Projects Director for Europe, responsible for leading a team of project directors and the operational performance of the UK Water & Environment and UK Power & Energy sectors. Most recently he has been the Operations Director for Water across the UK and Europe.

As newly appointed Managing Director for Water, Europe, Gareth Heatley, said: “I am honoured to take on this role. Our water market within Europe is crucial to CH2M HILL’s operations in the region.
