The Derry based Precision Industrial Services Group is celebrating 25 years in business this year with further expansion.

The local company, which provides many diverse services to the property, environmental and utility sectors across Ireland have announced a major investment in the West Belfast, Lisburn City Council area with the sighting of the company’s new technology headquarters at City Business Park Dunmurray.

The company has over the past twenty-five years seen steady growth delivering data capture services and sewerage network management services to Irelands sewerage system network providers.

By investing heavily in research and development and embracing internet based technology Precision are providing their clients real time web-based survey and service data. Precision are taking Irelands sewerage networks into the 21st centaury, allowing their clients to manage both cost and monitor contract performance with up to the minute information available at the touch of a keyboard.

The Northern Ireland Company recently signed a partnership contract with Leeds based utility data capture company IETG to provide the award winning Hawkeye Pollution Prevention products to the Irish market.

Precision have seen remarked growth in new data collection services offered to Irish clients, North and South and now with the companies UK partner IETG on board, services such as buried utility mapping using ground penetrating radar which is unique to Ireland and measured building surveys for the construction sector will also be offered to clients North and South.

With construction and infrastructure investment at an all time high in Ireland, the marketplace is very competitive at present with financial restraints on clients meaning that projects must be completed on budget and on time, the continued development of quality survey and data collection services has become paramount with customers wanting to be able to view all related costs, potential costs and performance data in real time on the web.

With many satisfied high profile customers with high profile projects across the UK and Ireland including the completed Norman Foster designed Swiss Re in the city of London, Precision and IETG will bring unique surveying services to the Irish property, environmental and utility markets.

Precisions Business Development Manager, Alan Stringer: “Hawkeye was a logical add on for Precision and for Precisions customers, who require real time utility data and utility performance information as well as environmental monitoring, and flood alarms on line, or to their mobile phone network.”

The Hawkeye system, IETG and the Precision utility services fit seamlessly together.’

“The system, Hawkeye, allows councils and engineers to monitor the sewerage system from the comfort of a desk utilizing the latest remote mobile phone internet based technology, this allows better management of the countries buried assets and reduced risk of pollution or flooding incidents, ultimately protecting homes and the natural environment.”

“The Hawkeye system of remote sewer monitors has been proven across the UK and Europe receiving many international environmental protection awards.”

“Our joint technology partnership with IETG will see Precision not only leading the Irish technology market in sewerage data capture but we are also bringing onboard “40Seven” the life and money saving mapping service of buried utilities such as gas, electric, water, and other non metallic utilities to clients across Ireland using advanced ground penetrating radar and GPS topographical mapping.”

“The irony is that this ground penetrating radar technology was originally designed for the location of plastic landmines and explosives in war torn countries and is now saving the life’s of people working on construction projects across the world reducing the risk of accidental strikes of buried cables and pipelines.”

“This partnership between Precision and IETG will also strengthen both companies position in the European property, utility, environmental marketplace and bring more much needed technology based employment to Northern Ireland.”
