Asset achieves top accreditation

Posted: Tuesday 2nd November 2010

Water management solutions manufacturer, Asset International Ltd, has attained a top accreditation for its health and safety, environmental and quality practices.

The UVDB Verify accreditation recognises Asset has achieved some of the highest standards of health and safety, environmental and quality in the UK.

Conducted by leading supplier management company, Achilles Information Limited, the accreditation is designed specifically for companies operating in the utilities sector, like Asset, and provides benchmarking credibility which can dramatically cut the length of time it takes to qualify when tendering for new contracts.

Managing director at Asset International, Simon Thomas, said: “This accreditation further highlights our commitment to health and safety.

“Our environmental impact is something we take extremely seriously and are proud that the carbon footprint of our Weholite pipes has proved to be extremely lower than many other competing materials. We’re hopeful that the accreditation will not only reduce the administration side of tendering but that it will also put us in a strong position to win new business.”

Asset has demonstrated a commitment to health and safety and is currently working towards the AHSAS 18000 standard. It is also aiming to be accredited to BS EN 160001 energy management system for its environmental policy within the next 12 months.

Asset International has been trading for 14 years and has seen continuous increase in demand for its high quality products that include patented high-density polyethylene (HDPE) pipe systems known as Weholite.
