ASHRIDGE ENGINEERING ACQUIRED BY SEICHE

Seiche Ltd is pleased to announce its recent acquisition of Ashridge Engineering Ltd. Ashridge Engineering Ltd is a leading designer and manufacturer of control, protection and measurement systems.

Key water industry clients include Thames Water and Southern Water, with products ranging from the Hydroguard, Textlog data loggers, Flow Log, PRV valve controllers as well as level and pressure measuring equipment. Ashridge simultaneously works with a number of electricity suppliers including National Grid, Western Power, UK Power networks and Northern Powergrid delivering Winding Temperature Indicators (WRI) with accessories such as CTs and PT100 probes and pockets.

Seiche Ltd specialises in the design, development and manufacture of underwater acoustic solutions together with advanced visual detection systems. Roy Wyatt, MD of Seiche, comments: “This is a great opportunity for two complementary engineering businesses to join forces. With Alan Orchard at the helm, Ashridge has over 35 years of expertise in the water and electricity industries. Alan has overseen the company’s growth and success by listening to its clients and responding with innovative solutions and unsurpassed customer service. Alan, who is now retiring, comments: “Thank you to all our customers for their loyalty and support over the years. This is an exciting time for Ashridge. I will be leaving the company in excellent hands. Seiche will take Ashridge to the next level of growth through increased partnerships and opportunities, particularly in the global marketplace.” Alan will continue in the new company for the next 3 months on a part-time basis and will be on hand in an advisory role for the foreseeable future. Ashridge will continue to run as a separate business line within Seiche and there will be no personnel or name changes.
