The High Efficiency Aeration Framework for Anglian Water

Posted: Friday 11th April 2014

Continuing with their established relationship with Anglian Water, Hydrok are pleased to announce that an eight year rolling framework agreement for the supply of High Efficiency Aeration Systems solutions has been confirmed.

Hydrok will be supporting Anglian Water with Design, Supply & Installation of High Efficiency Aeration Systems. The initial agreement is for 2 years with the option of yearly extensions over the remaining period of the framework.

The High Efficiency Aeration product is a standard design for the installation of diffusers that have a measured oxygen transfer efficiency of 7% per metre or higher in a standard aeration water test. They must also be able to retain a high efficiency of operation over many years in the sewage works, and have a proven membrane life above 10 years on typical sewage applications. There are two key scenarios in installing this type of process, refurbishment or new build.

The high efficiency aeration systems will be delivered to site by Hydrok as a series of parts that will be installed in a planned procedure or alternatively as a build offsite option on drop in frames. Typically the system will include diffusers, underwater pipe work, above water pipe work, control and isolation valves, dissolved oxygen probes, pressure and flow sensors, and feed pipe work. The system will also include blowers in most cases.

The scope of the Hydrok service will include design, manufacture, delivery, installation, dry testing, wet testing and final commissioning. Hydrok will supply their standard high efficiency fine bubble aeration systems. Mark Williams of @one Alliance commented, “A framework agreement is an important enabler in releasing value from the supply chain. The Hydrok high efficiency technology supports our drive to promote innovative solutions and we will be working in collaboration with Hydrok to deliver enhanced performance outcomes”.

Mark Lunn, Product Manager said “We have been working for a few years to secure this framework with Anglian Water and all our hard efforts have finally paid off. We have completed all of the high efficiency aeration schemes during AMP5 and this framework will continue through to the end of the next AMP period. As a key supply chain partner we form part of a wider collaborative project team with the @one Alliance and Anglian Water to successfully deliver complex infrastructure projects”.
